So I decided to spend some of my 2015 Christmas break finishing up on blogging the rest of 2015’s photography sessions.

To kick off this week of blog catch up, I am posting on a long overdue feature of my little sister’s wedding. On a day that was threatening to rain (and actually did the morning of for a bit), the sun finally broke out in the afternoon in time for the events to start at the picturesque Queens Park Rose Garden.  Trying to capture the moments while wiping away tears of joy for the two of them was a little hard, but witnessing Kaylyn and Lance say their vows with our family was amazing.

May was my busy wedding month! I don’t typically take on that many weddings in a year, but this year I had two in May.

This first one was particularly fun for me to be a part of as I have know the bride and her family since I was 6! It was great to catch up with them all and was honoured to be able to photograph their special day!

Take a peek – Mike’s got his hands full with all those girls!

I have been wanting to blog about this wedding for a while now (it had been over three months ago already!), so I am so happy to finally have a free moment to showcase it! I think part of the reason for the delay was just trying to narrow down some of my favourites of the day. I did eventually narrow it down (barely!)

Kaila & James married over the September long weekend, and I don’t think the weather could have been more perfect. Not too hot, not too cold…. and even though it was raining the day before, the sky opened up enough to let us in some beautiful diffused blue sky!

These two were a lot a fun and a pleasure to work with! I loved being able to capture their special day, can you tell? Now for the image overload 🙂

I think early last month had better weather than we are having now.  There was more sun and definitely some higher temperatures then what we are getting these days (come on Mother Nature… make up your mind!)

Luckily enough we were able to take advantage of the beautiful weather with a few sessions! Mid month I met up with Kaila and James for their engagement session. Due to Mother Nature though, we had to make a quick location change as the original location we were planning to do the session at had been flooded (boo!).  We still managed to figure out a back up location and headed to Mill Lake park instead to capture some nice golden light 🙂

Thank you Kaila and James! I can’t wait to photograph your special day in September!
